Teaching

James Vornberg has taught more than 1700 students in his principalship course during his career. Most of these completed their administrative certificates and went on to serve as principals in Texas schools, having a major impact on the education of students in Texas as well as out-of-state. He has served as doctoral advisor to 88 graduates of the doctoral program that have completed at this time. His teaching techniques have included many innovations including problem based-learning, simulations, compressed video sessions, teaching online, hybrid courses (combination of online and face-to-face) and the use of the ROPES course as a learning technique to prepare administrators. Jim Vornberg has published and/or presented with numerous of his students over the years assisting them to begin their professional writing and presentation experiences.
