Lesson Plan Incorporating Literary Theory

Once we have read the various critical approaches to literature (e.g., Marxism, feminism, and so on) you will write a lesson plan demonstrating how you would lead discussions and teach your future students about a particular theoretical approach. For this assignment, you should:

• Write an introduction explaining what text(s) you would use and why they would be appropriate for that particular theory (this will probably require a summary and mini-interpretation of your own)
• Provide step-by-step (or day-by-day) instructions as to how you would incorporate the theory
• Create at least 2 handouts that you would give your students
