Lauren is an enthusiastic runner with several half marathons under her belt and is currently training for her first marathon in December 2014. In addition to running, she that practices yoga and Pilates on a regular basis to maintain strength and balance, physically and mentally. With her undergraduate degree from Baylor University, and Master of Science from Texas A&M-University in Sport Studies, she is currently the Fitness & Recreation Activity Coordinator and also instructs various Fitness & Recreation Activity (FRA) courses.
For the past 7 years, she has taught Pilates and yoga and continues to attend yoga workshops and conferences to further enhance her practice and share this knowledge with her students. Through FRA courses she hopes to help students find a type of exercise they enjoy (because let’s face it, if you don’t enjoy it, you’re not going to stick with it) and encourage an appreciation for their body and health along the way.
