Presentation Abstract
The Technology Management
program at a US regional university employs a novel means of offering
versatility and multidisciplinary credentialing opportunities in its Master of
Science degree program. The faculty
on the program committee examined certificates and minor options offered by
programs throughout the university’s colleges and identified options that could
complement their major students’ courses of study and assist them in pursuing or
advancing their careers in targeted, technology-intensive fields.
The exercise resulted in the identification and adoption of a
pre-approved list of existing curricular options throughout the university that
could be used to satisfy the elective block on the degree plan of the Master of
Science Degree in Technology Management.
The presentation will provide
the audience with a description of the process undertaken to identify
appropriate elective program options and facilitate their inclusion in the
graduate Technology Management Degree curriculum.
