This article describes and organization that focuses on tapping into the needs of women. The business unit is called DoHealth, a division of the HealthScout Network. It provides wellness tools and health management resources to managed care organizations that use these tools because they need to find interactive ways to engage their member in their healthcare. Recently, DoHealth started the Women’s Healthcare Advisor. This site provides women with the information they need to make decisions for themselves and their families. This article say that studies show eight out of ten women choose their children’s doctors and two-thirds of women choose their families health plan. This article states that the Internet is the future of healthcare, and what the future hold depends on how adeptly the healthcare profession taps into its immense resources.
I understand how important it is for people to be able to access information about healthcare. I make all of the decisions regarding my son’s healthcare need with the help of my husband. I am ultimately the one who decides where and when our family needs to go to the doctor. It is comforting to know that there is information available for me to be able to find the best care possible for my family.
