ECE 358 Language Acquisition Exam II Take Home Portion. Type about a one-page response to this question – and bring to class on Thursday, December 1, 2005.

Your kindergarten class has each received in the mail an invitation to Johnny's six year old birthday party: "Please come to my birthday party dressed up as your favorite story book character. We’re going to watch 'SHREK'.”

One parent comes to you, unfamiliar with the movie, and, quite frankly, unfamiliar with the idea of story book characters, fairy tales, Mother Goose stories. Write a parent-friendly letter describing the basics: what she needs to know about storytelling, what she needs to do to start sharing stories with her child, and at least two resources that would help her.

Storytelling Activity II due Dec 1.

Take this Mentor Evaluation form with you into an environment where you may present your Reading Demonstration to a small (3-5) group of young children. Use this form to write a reflection on your reading demonstration - Reflections.rtf
