5. Philosophy of education: Develop a philosophy of education. The philosophy must be well written (cite more than three resources), grounded in the historical tradition (refer to three theorists), and balanced in Developmentally Appropriate Practice. 10% of final grade.

3.      To distinguish contributions of prominent figures in ECE

4.      To evaluate various models of ECE

5.      To examine the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct position statement for ECE

6.      To identify contemporary issues in ECE

7.      To develop a personal ECE philosophy

8.      To associate ECE ExCET/TExES competencies with course content  

Gather all your documents generated from this class - class notes, Exams, Advocacy Letter, Ethics Paper, and Observations. Summarize your Philosophy of Education by creating a note card of important influences, traditions, approaches to ECE, and influential people. Prepare to give an ORAL restatement of your Philosophy of Education.
