15% of final course grade
This score is made up of three parts, the
majority of which will be devoted to your Dialogue
Journal and the Conferences that will emerge from it.
Dialogue Journal:
You will keep this in a spiral-bound notebook, a binder, or anything
else you think would serve well. Basically, you are going to writing
in this quite regularly in both your class and in your writing
group--often in response to questions posed at the beginning of
class, interviews, and the rest. If you do not keep up with
this--including all requisite prewriting activities, thought
questions, and notes for your Final Reflections--you will not do
well with this portion of your grade.
Dialogue Journal Conferences:
These will be held around midterm. Basically, this is your change to
"present" your dialogue journal to your writing group tutor.
Rhetorical Grammar (exercises):
You will be required to complete several exercises from Kolln's
Rhetorical Grammar. These are designed to help with any
surface-level issues you may face. |
