TEXAS TEACHER RESIDENCY PROJECT (T-RES)
Funded by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board for $1.29 Million. A project to develop and implement a year long teacher residency project for STEM teachers in collaboration with Mesquite ISD and the University of Texas Tyler. Refunded for a second cycle in partnership with the Dallas Teacher Residency
TEACHER QUALITY GRANT
Funded by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board for $207,220. A 2-year grant to provide professional develop for 5th& 6th grade teachers in the area of Earth & Environmental Science.
MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCE TEACHING ACADEMY (MASTA)
Funded by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board for $835,000. A 5-year project to provide professional development in mathematics and science for in-service teachers.
M2T2 MAXIMIZING MOTIVATION, TARGETING TECHNOLOGY
Funded by a $992,663 grant from the National Science Foundation, Texas A&M University- Commerce partnered with Northeast Texas middle schools to offer an innovative grant program for middle school students and their teachers, which will utilize gaming, robotics strategies to relate math, science, and technology to real world phenomenon.
STEMSKILLS
Funded by the US Department of Education for $100,000, this project provided a camp for high school freshman utilizing robotics and other strategies to relate math, science and technology to real world phenomena.
PROJECT STEEM
Texas A&M University-Commerce received a significant gift, $1,500,000 from the Greater Texas Foundation to promote interest and learning in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Education & Math.
