Playfulness in Tech Integration: Kids Having Fun Learning to Code

Come explore the principles of tech integration in early learning, as explained in the 2012 Tech and Interactive Media position statement put out by NAEYC and the Fred Rogers Center. Recent publication of the MIT Media Lab book titled Lifelong Kindergarten highlights how SCRATCH digital online programing language promotes learning through PROJECTS than children are PASSIONATE about in collaboration with PEERS in a PLAYFUL spirit. The web-based, freeware, open source nature of SCRATCH makes it something that can follow a child throughout their childhood into lifelong learning.
