"We are to regard the mind, not as a receptacle into which knowledge may be poured; but as a flame that is to be fed, as an active being that must be strengthened to think and to feel---and to dare, to do, and to suffer." - Mark Hopkins-president of Williams College

One must have curiosity, for one's imagination to flourish.

What though the radiance which was once so bright
Be not forever taken from my sight,
Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendour in the grass, of glory in the flower;
Grief not, rather find,
Strength in what remains behind,
In the primal sympathy
Which having been must ever be,
In the soothing thoughts that spring
Out of Human suffering,
In the faith that looks through death
In years that bring philosophic mind.

William Wordsworth

Your Passion

 Your passion whatever it is, like rowing for instance.  Rowing is the finest art there is.  It is a symphony of motion and when you are rowing well and nearing perfection and then reach perfection;  you are touching the devine.   The devine touches you of you's.  Which is your soul.
