Welcome to our summer undergraduate early childhood education course on Language Acquisition ECE 358. Here in this welcome video, your professor Dr. Thompson points out three important perspectives on learning in this summer school online course. *** intro video: https://youtu.be/g8a9ip1K4rw **
1. Amazing learners we are! It takes quite a bit of guts, fortitude, passion, and focus to get into summer school. I'm proud of you!
2. The content for this course is tough. Writing is hard work. Reading is mind-blowing. But this is doable. We can help each other.
3. The young child brings enormous capacity and joy to the work, we must follow and be as alert, passionate, curious, and committed to learn.
You are invited to PLAY! to celebrate learning about the amazing early language learners, and how to become the best teachers for young Texans.
See you online!
